
Marty Ackroyd Curtis is an award winning Australian writer, podcast host, video, installation and multi- medium artist. Her work consists of large-scale installation art, which is formulated through cohesive conceptual design. She has exhibited extensively in Australia and overseas, and participated in various art festivals; most recently as part of Auckland Festival of Photography part of the Asia Pacific Photo Forum and Contact Photography Festival Toronto, Canada.
Her work involves visual installations, sculpture, design, dance, improvisation performance, video, improvisation sound/music, application media (painting), humour, comedy, she may somehow be a relative of Andy Warhol + Keith Haring through time and space...
She was named by the people who raised her 'Martha' after the song by The Beatles called Martha My Dear. She grew up singing the albums of the 1960's and 1970's.
She was invited as part of the Auckland Festival of Photography 2022 & 2023. She presented with The Stroll Collective at the forecourt of NGV, Melbourne Australia.
Ackroyd Curtis presented as part of Decor + Design Show in 2022, which features VIVID Design Awards, sustainable furniture design, renowned local and international industry figures, leading designers and innovative artists and producers.
In 2023 she was a dual Finalist at VIVID Australian International Furniture Fair + Decor and Design Show. In 2022 she was the recipient of The People's Choice Award at Design Fringe Linden New Art. In 2024 she was part of X Pacific as part of NYC x DESIGN The Festival featuring fashion design by Shao Yen.
She has been part of collaborations with Stüssy.
In 2025/2026 she presented at The Wheeler Centre in Melbourne. The events also featured her signature multi- media projections.
She is based part time in Sydney Eora and Byron Bay .
