ARTIST RESIDENCY BAY OF ISLANDS
Martha Ackroyd Curtis had the privilege of residing as artist in residence at WHAREPUKE gardens which was designed by Robin Booth. Curtis worked in studio (most humbling as Richard Parker had worked his clay and pottery in situ). She was mentored by well known and esteemed printmaker, and video artist Mark Graver RE. The gardens are recognized and awarded as New Zealand Garden's of Significance.
Within the gardens are the highly regarded sculpture collection which include sculptures by the internationally acclaimed sculptor Chris Booth, Mark Graver, Richard Parker, Tania Booth and more.
The gallery onsite houses a collection of works by Mark Graver and Richard Parker.
